A high school student in Seattle discovers a Death Note that can kill people by writing their names in it, leading to a series of murders and an intense investigation by detective L, with Light, the student, attempting to manipulate others and eliminate L while in a coma. Death Note is a 2017 American English-language Adventure Crime movie featuring Nat Wolff, Lakeith Stanfield, Margaret Qualley, Shea Whigham, Paul Nakauchi, Jason Liles and James Allore. The movie is based on Death Note by Tsugumi Ohba Takeshi Obata. Death Note was Produced by Dan Lin, Masi Oka, Roy Lee, Jason Hoffs and Ted Sarandos. Death Note is written by Anthony Bagarozzi, Charley Parlapanides, Vlas Parlapanides, Jeremy Slater, Tsugumi Ôba and Takeshi Obata and it is directed by Adam Wingard. Netflix acquired the distribution rights for the film. Death Note was released on 16th November 2017 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. Death Note was made on a budget of $40 million and at the box office it grossed only $29 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Charles Parlapanides, Vlas Parlapanides and Jeremy Slater. Cinematography was done by David Tattersall and editing by Louis Cioffi. The music was composed by Atticus Ross along with Leopold Ross.
