Ram, a timid man under the control of his abusive brother-in-law, escapes to the city and reunites with his long-lost twin brother, Shyam, who takes his place and defeats Gajendra to reunite with their family. Ram Aur Shyam is a 1967 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama movie featuring Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Mumtaz Askari, Baby Farida, Laxmi Chhaya, Leela Mishra and Baby Radha. The movie is based on Ramudu Bheemudu by D. V. Narasa Raju. Vijaya Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) B Nagi Reddy, Chakrapani and B. Nagi Reddy. Ram Aur Shyam is written by Kaushal Bharati, Narasa Raju D.v. and D.v. Narasaraju and it is directed by Tapi Chanakya. Vijaya Productions acquired the distribution rights for the film. Ram Aur Shyam was released on 7th April 1967 and takes a screen time of 171 min. Ram Aur Shyam was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹1 crore. Cinematography was done by Marcus Bartley and editing by C. P. Jambulingam. The music was composed by Naushad along with Shakeel Badayuni.
