A law graduate and tabloid editor named Vijay Khanna falls in love with Princess Sunita during the general elections, but faces false murder accusations and, with Sunitas help, uncovers a dangerous alliance between criminals and politicians as they race against time to clear his name and bring justice to the corrupt system. Leader was Produced by Sashadhar Mukherjee. Leader is written by Ram Mukherjee, Dilip Kumar, Harish Mehra and Wajahat Mirza and it is directed by Ram Mukherjee. Leader was released on 1st January 1964 and takes a screen time of 176 minutes. Cinematography was done by V. Babasaheb and editing by S.E. Chandivale. The music was composed by Naushad along with Shakeel Badayuni.
