In a sci-fi world, a conflict arises on the planet Arous between the feisty locals, Captain Bantor, the Sovereign, and the Inquisitor, resulting in the accidental injury of Bantor by freelance miner Taura, leading to her imprisonment on a cruel female wardens prison ship, the Vehemence, where Bantor seeks to obtain a process that reduces prisoners to mind-controlled zombies, allowing Taura to escape and return home.
