A security guard named John Brown becomes Inspector Gadget to investigate the murder of Artemus Bradford and the theft of a lifelike robotic foot. The movie is based on Inspector Gadget by Bruno Bianchi Jean Chalopin Andy Heyward. Walt Disney Pictures in association with Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Television Animation. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Roger Birnbaum, Andy Heyward and Jordan Kerner. Inspector Gadget is written by Andy Heyward, Jean Chalopin, Bruno Bianchi, Dana Olsen, Kerry Ehrin and Zak Penn and it is directed by David Kellogg. Buena Vista Pictures Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Inspector Gadget was released on 1st September 1999 and takes a screen time of 78 minutes.
