After her husbands war injury leaves him impotent and disabled, Constance Chatterley struggles with her desires and begins a physical relationship with their gamekeeper, Oliver Mellors, despite their differing social classes, leading to the rejection and isolation of Constance from her husband and the firing of Mellors, but later on Constance discovers she is pregnant and tries to reconcile, only to be rejected again.
