In London, a writer named Dan Woolf falls in love with a beautiful American woman named Alice Ayres after a car accident and writes a novel based on her life, but tension arises when Dan flirts with a photographer named Anna Cameron, leading to an affair, while Alice becomes a stripper and ultimately leaves Dan, returning to New York City alone.
