A young man is reunited with a mermaid who saves him from drowning as a boy and falls in love not knowing who/what she is. Splash is a 1984 American English-language Comedy Fantasy film starring Tom Hanks, Daryl Hannah, Eugene Levy, John Candy, Ajay Devgan, Tanvi Azmi and Danny Nero. Touchstone Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Brian Grazer. Splash is written by Samyuktha Horanadu, Feryna Wazheir, Raja Krishna Menon, Ritesh Shah, Brian Grazer, Bruce Jay Friedman, Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel and it is directed by Ron Howard. Buena Vista Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Splash was released on 9th March 1984 and takes a screen time of 111 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Splash was made on a budget of $11 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $69 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Lowell Ganz, Babaloo Mandel and Bruce Jay Friedman. Cinematography was done by Donald Peterman and editing by Daniel P. Hanley and Mike Hill. The music was composed by Lee Holdridge.
