A seemingly normal family in the late 1980s is exposed when the father is discovered to be involved in child pornography, leading to an investigation into alleged sexual abuse and a trial filled with doubts as the familys dynamics disintegrate. Capturing the Friedmans is a 2003 American English-language Documentary Biography movie featuring Arnold Friedman, Elaine Friedman, David Friedman, Jesse Friedman, Seth Friedman, John Mcdermott and Jack Fallin. Capturing the Friedmans was Produced by Andrew Jarecki and Marc Smerling. The movie is directed by Andrew Jarecki. Magnolia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Capturing the Friedmans was released on 18th July 2003 and takes a screen time of 107 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The movie made a box office gross of $4 million. Cinematography was done by Adolfo Doring and editing by Richard Hankin. The music was composed by Bill Harrington along with Andrea Morricone. At the 2003 Sundance Film Festival It won an award for Documentary.
