A group of astronauts are forced to participate in a hoax mission to Mars to save their own lives and secure funding, but eventually realize they must escape to reveal the truth before being killed. Capricorn One is a 1977 American English-language Action Adventure movie featuring Elliott Gould, James Brolin, Brenda Vaccaro, Sam Waterston, O. J. Simpson, Hal Holbrook and Manny Weltman. ITC Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Paul N. Lazarus Iii. The movie is written and directed by Peter Hyams. Warner Bros. acquired the distribution rights for the film. Capricorn One was released on 10th December 1977 and takes a screen time of 124 minutes. Capricorn One was made on a budget of $5 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. Cinematography was done by Bill Butler and editing by James Mitchell. The music was composed by Jerry Goldsmith.
