Tara, a young girl born in a struggling circus as the Wolf Girl, faces isolation from her peers but forms a friendship with Ryan who helps her obtain an experimental hair loss medication; however, as she experiences strange dreams and exhibits feral behavior, she discovers a bullys micropenis and in self-defense he attempts to kill her, leading to her continued reliance on stealing the drug to maintain her transformation while the town forms a mob, ultimately resulting in an attack on her bullies and her survival with diminished human qualities, leaving the townspeople under the false impression that she was a werewolf killed by Ryan.
