Rose and Lissa, two vampire hybrids, must navigate dangerous situations at their boarding school including encounters with the undead Strigoi and kidnappings, all while discovering Lissas rare healing power. Vampire Academy is a 2014 English-language Action Comedy motion picture featuring Zoey Deutch, Lucy Fry, Danila Kozlovsky, Dominic Sherwood, Cameron Monaghan, Sami Gayle and Megan Ayres. The movie is inspired from Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. Angry Films in association with Kintop Pictures, IM Global, Montford & Murphy, Preger Entertainment and Reliance Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Don Murphy, Donna Murphy, Susan Montford, Michael Preger and Deepak Nayar. Vampire Academy is written by Richelle Mead and Daniel Waters and it is directed by Mark Waters. The Weinstein Company acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Vampire Academy was released on 27th February 2014 and takes a screen time of 104 minutes. Vampire Academy was made on a budget of $30 million and at the box office it grossed only $15 million.
