When Sara befriends a group of friends in college, she soon realizes that her shy roommate Rebecca has an unhealthy obsession with her, leading to a series of escalating incidents where Rebecca becomes increasingly unhinged, ultimately resulting in Sara having to defend herself and kill Rebecca in order to survive. Christiansen. Screen Gems acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Roommate was released on 4th February 2011 and takes a screen time of 94 minutes. The Film was successful at box office.
