The film is written and directed by Robert Eggers. A24 acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Witch was released on 11th November 2015 and takes a screen time of 92 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. The Witch was made on a budget of $4 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $40 million. Cinematography was done by Jarin Blaschke and editing by Louise Ford.
