A woman and her daughter go to Wales, but after her daughter disappears she learns of Annwyn and believes her dead daughter has taken her place, leading to a tragic end. The Dark is a 2006 English-language Horror Mystery movie featuring Sean Bean, Maria Bello, Richard Elfyn, Maurice Ro Ves, Abigail Stone, Sophie Stuckey and Luke Kearney. The movie is inspired from Sheep by Simon Maginn. Constantin Film was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Paul W. S. Anderson, Jeremy Bolt, Steve Christian and Robert Kulzer. The Dark is written by Simon Maginn and Stephen Massicotte and it is directed by John Fawcett. Constantin Film acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Dark was released on 5th January 2006 and takes a screen time of 93 minutes. The Dark was made on a budget of $185 million and at the box office it grossed only $6 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Stephen Massicotte. Cinematography was done by Christian Sebaldt and editing by Chris Gill. The music was composed by Edmund Butt.
