A young man, Pat, visits the clan of gypsy-like grifters in rural North Carolina who belong to the nomadic ethnic group known as Irish Travellers and from whom he is descended. Pat is at first rejected but cousin Bokky takes him on as an apprentice. Pat learns the game while Bokky falls in love and desires a different life. Written by Jeff Hole Traveller is a 1997 American English-language Crime Drama motion picture starring Bill Paxton, Mark Wahlberg, Julianna Margulies, James Gammon, Luke Askew, Nikki Deloach and Rick Galiher. Banner Entertainment in association with MDP Worldwide. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) David Blocker, Mickey Liddell, Bill Paxton and Brian Swardstrom. Traveller is written by Jim Mcglynn and directed by Jack N. Green. October Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Traveller was released on 23rd April 1998 and takes a screen time of 101 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $0 million. Editing was done by Michael Ruscio. The music was composed by Andy Paley.
