Kham, a war elephant guard, follows poachers to Sydney and, with the help of a prostitute, fights against henchmen and gangsters to rescue his stolen elephants and clear the name of a Thai-Australian police officer. Tom yum goong is a 2005 Thai-language Action Crime movie featuring Tony Jaa, Petchtai Wongkamlao, Bongkoj Khongmalai, Jin Xing, Johnny Tri Nguyen, Nathan B. Jones and Eddie Vee. Baa-ram-ewe was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Prachya Pinkaew and Sukanya Vongsthapat. The movie is directed by Prachya Pinkaew. Sahamongkol Film International acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Tom yum goong was released on 11th August 2005 and takes a screen time of 110 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Tom yum goong was made on a budget of $5 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $27 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Napalee, Piyaros Thongdee, Joe Wannapin and Kongdej Jaturanrasamee. Cinematography was done by Nattawut Kittikhun and editing by Marut Seelacharoen. The music was composed by Zomkiat Ariyachaipanich.
