A former SWAT officer turned police chief is drawn back into a hostage situation when his family is kidnapped as leverage for him to negotiate with a criminal syndicate, but he ultimately manages to save the hostages, defeat the criminals, and rescue his family. Hostage is a 2005 American English-language Action Crime motion picture featuring Bruce Willis, Kevin Pollak, Michelle Horn, Jimmy Bennett, Ben Foster, Jonathan Tucker and Peter Weireter. The movie is inspired from Hostage by Robert Crais. Cheyenne Enterprises in association with Equity Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bruce Willis, Mark Gordon, Arnold Rifkin, Bob Yari and David Wally. Hostage is written by Robert Crais and Doug Richardson and it is directed by Florent Emilio Siri and Florent-emilio Siri. Miramax Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Hostage was released on 17th March 2005 and takes a screen time of 113 minutes. Hostage was made on a budget of $75 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Doug Richardson. Cinematography was done by Giovanni Fiore Coltellacci and editing by Richard Byard and Olivier Gajan. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner Alexandre Desplat.
