Athadu

A hitman fakes the assassination of a politician but when the politician is actually killed, he assumes the identity of a man he accidentally got killed, and wins over his family while escaping investigation from a CBI officer. Athadu is a 2005 Indian Telugu-language Action Comedy movie starring Mahesh Babu, Sonu Sood, Trisha Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Nasser and Krishna Murali Posani. Jayabheri Arts was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Murali Mohan, D. Kishore and M. Ram Mohan. The film is written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Jayabheri Arts acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Athadu was released on 10th August 2005 and takes a screen time of 172 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of ₹22 crore.
