A recent widow invites her husband s troubled best friend to live with her and her two children. As he gradually turns his life around, he helps the family cope and confront their loss. Things We Lost in the Fire is a 2007 American English-language Drama motion picture starring Halle Berry, Benicio Del Toro, David Duchovny, Omar Benson Miller, Alison Lohman, John Carroll Lynch and Geoff White. DreamWorks Pictures in association with Neal Street Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sam Mendes and Sam Mercer. Things We Lost in the Fire is written by Allan Loeb and directed by Susanne Bier. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Things We Lost in the Fire was released on 19th October 2007 and takes a screen time of 118 minutes. Things We Lost in the Fire was made on a budget of $16 million and at the box office it grossed only $8 million. Cinematography was done by Tom Stern and editing by Pernille Bech Christensen and Bruce Cannon. The music was composed by Johan S Derqvist.
