The Manchurian Candidate

Major Bennett Marco, a Gulf War commander, uncovers a conspiracy in which he and Sergeant Raymond Shaw were brainwashed to become assassins, leading to Raymond being activated to kill Senator Tom Jordan, but eventually sacrifices himself to save the President-elect, while Marco reflects on his experiences and discards memories of his unit. The Manchurian Candidate is a 2004 American English-language Drama Mystery movie starring Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep, Liev Schreiber, Jon Voight, Kimberly Elise, Ted Levine and Joe Alessi. The movie is inspired from The Manchurian Candidate by Richard Condon 1962 film screenplay by George Axelrod. Scott Rudin Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jonathan Demme, Ilona Herzberg, Scott Rudin and Tina Sinatra.
