The movie is based on The Dead Zone by Stephen King. Dino De Laurentiis Company was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Debra Hill. The Dead Zone is written by Jeffrey Boam and Stephen King and it is directed by David Cronenberg. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Dead Zone was released on 21st October 1983 and takes a screen time of 103 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. The Dead Zone was made on a budget of $7 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $20 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Jeffrey Boam.
