It was produced by Jennifer Fox, Tony Gilroy, Michel Litvak, Jake Gyllenhaal, and David Lancaster. It was tastefully captured by Robert Elswit and edited by John Gilroy. James Newton Howard composed the music. It was released on October 31, 2014, and has a running time of 117 minutes. The movie was made on a budget of $8.5 million and it grossed $50.3 million at the box office. The distribution rights were acquired by Open Road Films. An R certificate for the movie was provided by the MPAA.
