In post-World War II Japan, a former US Marine becomes part of a yakuza clan, builds relationships, faces rivalries, seeks revenge, and ultimately becomes the leader of the clan. The Outsider is a 2018 English-language Crime Drama movie starring Jared Leto, Tadanobu Asano, Kippei Shiina, Rory Cochrane, Shioli Kutsuna, Emile Hirsch and Ryûhei Watabe. Linson Entertainment in association with Waypoint Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) John Linson, Art Linson and Ken Kao. The Outsider is written by Andrew Baldwin and directed by Martin Zandvliet. Netflix acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Outsider was released on 9th March 2018 and takes a screen time of 120 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Cinematography was done by Camilla Hjelm Knudsen and editing by Mikkel E.G. Nielsen. The music was composed by Sune Martin.
