After his daughter Emma is shot and killed, Detective Thomas Craven investigates the conspiracy involving the company Northmoor and its secret production of nuclear weapons, with the help of consultant Jedburgh, ultimately sacrificing his life to expose the truth and finding solace in his daughters presence. Edge of Darkness is a 2010 English-language Crime Drama movie starring Mel Gibson, Ray Winstone, Danny Huston, Bojana Novakovic, Shawn Roberts, David Aaron Baker and Susan Wilson. The movie is based on Edge of Darkness by Troy Kennedy Martin. GK Films in association with BBC Films and Icon Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Graham King, Tim Headington and Michael Wearing. Edge of Darkness is written by William Monahan, Andrew Bovell and Troy Kennedy-martin and it is directed by Martin Campbell. Icon Film Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the film. Edge of Darkness was released on 28th January 2010 and takes a screen time of 117 minutes. Edge of Darkness was made on a budget of $80 million and at the box office it grossed only $3 million. Cinematography was done by Phil Meheux and editing by Stuart Baird. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner Howard Shore.
