The Duke is Tops depicts Duke Davis sacrifice for his star singer Ethel Andrews, as he deceives her to advance her career, leading to his own downfall, only to eventually combine their talents in creating a successful nightclub act. The Duke Is Tops is a 1938 American English-language Comedy Drama movie starring Ralph Cooper, Lena Horne, Laurence Criner, Monte Hawley, Willie Covan, Neva Peoples and Lillian Randolph. The Duke Is Tops was Produced by Leo C. Popkin. The Duke Is Tops is written by Phil Dunham and directed by William Nolte. Million Dollar Productions acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Duke Is Tops was released on 1st September 1938 and takes a screen time of 73 minutes. Cinematography was done by Robert E. Cline and J. Henry Kruse and editing by Alice Greenwood and Arthur A. Brooks. The music was composed by Harvey Brooks along with Ben Ellison.
