After graduating from college, The Muppets struggle to find a producer for their play, causing Kermit to have a falling-out with the rest of the group, leading to their separation and pursuit of individual occupations, while Kermit, with the help of a diner owner, his daughter, and a group of rats, makes a vow to make the show a hit and eventually receives a letter from a producer, but loses his memory after being hit by a car, prompting the Muppets to reunite and help him remember, resulting in the show becoming a success with the addition of new Muppets.
