A boy meets a free-spirited girl named Stargirl who becomes his good luck charm but loses her popularity after helping an injured opposing player during a game, causing pressure for her to conform. Stargirl is a 2020 American English-language Comedy Drama motion picture featuring Grace Vanderwaal, Graham Verchere, Brec Bassinger, Amy Smart, Giancarlo Esposito, Luke Wilson and Adam Dale Tucker. The movie is based on Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. Walt Disney Pictures in association with Gotham Group and Hahnscape Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kristin Hahn, Ellen Goldsmith-vein, Lee Stollman and Jordan Horowitz. The movie is directed by Julia Hart. Disney+ acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Stargirl was released on 23rd February 2021 and takes a screen time of 107 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Kristin Hahn, Julia Hart and Jordan Horowitz. Cinematography was done by Bryce Fortner and editing by Shayar Bansali and Tracey Wadmore-Smith. The music was composed by Rob Simonsen.
