Two families face immense hardship and loss, as one deals with the aftermath of their sons death and struggles with grief and guilt, while the other faces a devastating situation when their infant is kidnapped, leading both families to confront their shortcomings and resort to extreme measures to heal and reunite. Ordinary People is a 1980 American Korean-language Drama film featuring Donald Sutherland, Mary Tyler Moore, Judd Hirsch, Timothy Hutton, M. Emmet Walsh, Elizabeth Mcgovern and Michael T. Weiss. The movie is based on Ordinary People by Judith Guest. Wildwood Enterprises in association with Inc. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ronald L. Schwary. The movie is directed by Robert Redford. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Ordinary People was released on 6th August 1983 and takes a screen time of 124 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $2 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Alvin Sargent. Cinematography was done by John Bailey and editing by Jeff Kanew. The music was composed by Marvin Hamlisch.
