An American college student gets arrested for smuggling drugs in Istanbul, and after enduring brutal conditions and violence in prison, he manages to escape and cross the border into Greece. Midnight Express is written by Oliver Stone and directed by Alan Parker. Columbia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film.
