A nun is found dead in the well of the convent that she was residing in. The police suspect the death to be a murder. Untimely death of major suspects thickens the plot, and unlikely individuals enter the list of suspects. Crime File was Produced by A. Ramakrishnan and Sajan Varghese. Crime File is written by A.k. Sajan, A.k. Santhosh and A. K. Sajan and it is directed by K. Madhu. Aiswarya productions acquired the distribution rights for the film. Crime File was released on 21st January 1999. The Film was successful at box office. Crime File was made on a budget of ₹2 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹5 crore. Cinematography was done by Saloo George and editing by K. Sankunny. The music was composed by Rajamani.
