Hindustan Artillery Limited sells shares to O.M.R Group, prompting laborers to strike in opposition, while Franco Alangadan plans to sabotage the deal; during the strike, violence erupts resulting in the death of the strike leader, Com.Mani, and other laborers, and an investigation led by Com.Manis son reveals that the main conspirator is his own son, who was involved in corrupt practices that Com.Mani intended to expose. Sajan and it is directed by Shaji Kailas. Vaishaka Release acquired the distribution rights for the film. Red Chillies was released on 14th February 2009. Cinematography was done by Shaji and editing by Samjith. The music was composed by M. Jayachandran along with Rajamani.
