Blackbeards Ghost

A track coach arrives at a towns college, stays at an inn run by the Daughters of the Buccaneers who are fighting against a local crime boss, discovers weaknesses in his track team, summons the ghost of Blackbeard, faces opposition from the football coach and the crime boss, forms a bond with Blackbeard, deals with his antics while trying to revive the track team and pursue a relationship with Jo Anne, gets falsely arrested, but eventually saves the inn and breaks Blackbeards curse, allowing him to pursue a future with Jo Anne. Blackbeards Ghost is a 1968 American English-language Comedy Family film featuring Peter Ustinov, Dean Jones, Suzanne Pleshette, Elsa Lanchester, Joby Baker, Elliott Reid and Kleg Seth. Walt Disney Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bill Walsh. Blackbeards Ghost is written by Ben Stahl, Don Dagradi and Bill Walsh and it is directed by Robert Stevenson. Buena Vista Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Blackbeards Ghost was released on 8th February 1968 and takes a screen time of 106 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $21 million.
