A new kid in town assembles a fledgling rock band -- together, they achieve their dreams and compete against the best in the biggest event of the year, a battle of the bands. Bandslam is a 2009 American English-language Comedy Drama film featuring Aly Michalka, Vanessa Hudgens, Gaelan Connell, Scott Porter, Lisa Kudrow, Ryan Donowho and J.e. Meris. Summit Entertainment in association with Walden Media and Goldsmith-Thomas Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Elaine Goldsmith-thomas. Bandslam is written by Josh A. Cagan and Todd Graff and it is directed by Todd Graff. Summit Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the film. Bandslam was released on 27th August 2009 and takes a screen time of 111 minutes. Bandslam was made on a budget of $20 million and at the box office it grossed only $12 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Josh A. Cagan and Todd Graff. Cinematography was done by Eric Steelberg and editing by John Gilbert
