The Art of Getting By

Art of Getting By is about a high school student named George who befriends Sally after taking the fall for her smoking on school property, and as they become more involved in school and inspired by young artist Dustin, Sally starts to ask him questions about what he thinks of her and evasively asks him to have sex with her, but after Sally starts dating Dustin, George decides to make the effort to do his assignments and work on a project about Sally, and despite Sally backpacking through Europe with Dustin, they confess their love for each other and promise to be together as George graduates. The Art of Getting By is a 2011 American English-language Drama Romance movie featuring Freddie Highmore, Emma Roberts, Michael Angarano, Elizabeth Reaser, Sam Robards, Rita Wilson and Megan Grieco. Island Bound Productions in association with Mint Pictures and Atlantic Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Darren Goldberg, Gia Walsh, Kara Baker and P. Jennifer Dana. The motion picture is written and directed by Gavin Wiesen. Fox Searchlight Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Art of Getting By was released on 17th June 2011 and takes a screen time of 84 minutes. The Art of Getting By was made on a budget of $4 million and at the box office it grossed only $1 million. Cinematography was done by Ben Kutchins and editing by Mollie Goldstein. The music was composed by Alec Puro.
