The Phantom of the Opera is a 1925 American Silent-language Horror movie starring Lon Chaney, Norman Kerry, Mary Philbin, Arthur Edmund Carewe, Gibson Gowland, Snitz Edwards and D arcy Corrigan. The movie is inspired from The Phantom of the Opera 1910 novel by Gaston Leroux. Universal Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Carl Laemmle. The movie is directed by Rupert Julian, Lon Chaney and Ernst Laemmle. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Phantom of the Opera was released on 14th November 1925 and takes a screen time of 107-92 minutes,78 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The movie made a box office gross of $2 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Walter Anthony, Elliott J. Clawson, Bernard McConville, Frank M. McCormack, Tom Reed, Raymond L. Schrock, Jasper Spearing and Richard Wallace.
