Cats Eye

A stray cat ends up in New York City and is taken in by a man named Junk, while in another story, a smoker named Dick is forced to join Quitters, Inc. by a clinic that threatens his wife and child every time he smokes, and the cat travels to Atlantic City where it becomes involved in a blackmail scheme but ultimately helps Johnny succeed in his dangerous task, and finally in Wilmington, North Carolina, the cat is adopted by a girl named Amanda but is wrongly accused of killing their parakeet when it was actually protecting her from a troll. Cats Eye is a 1985 American English-language Comedy Horror film starring Drew Barrymore, James Woods, Alan King, Kenneth Mcmillan, Robert Hays, Candy Clark and Herbert Lom. The movie is based on Quitters Inc. and The Ledge by Stephen King. De Laurentiis Entertainment Group was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Dino De Laurentiis and Martha Schumacher. Cats Eye is written by Stephen King and directed by Lewis Teague. MGM/UA Entertainment Co. acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture.
