A house dog named Buck is taken to the north as a sled dog and becomes an essential part of his new owners survival during a dangerous 600-mile journey from Skagway to Dawson in the deadly winter, showcasing themes of survival, adaptation, and the attraction of the natural world. The movie is inspired from The Call of the Wild by Jack London.
