The novel follows the journey of a dog named Buck from his comfortable life in California to the wild environment of Alaska, where he proves his strength and courage as part of a mail delivery dog sled team, before finding love and ultimately becoming a wild pack leader. The movie is inspired from The Call of the Wild by Jack London. 20th Century Studios in association with 3 Arts Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Erwin Stoff and James Mangold. The movie is directed by Chris Sanders. 20th Century Studios acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture.
