A banker named Sam Wheat is killed by a mugger and becomes a ghost, finding a way to protect his girlfriend Molly from danger before seeking revenge on the person responsible for his death, ultimately saying his final goodbyes and moving on to the afterlife. Ghost is a 1990 American English-language Drama Fantasy motion picture featuring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Tony Goldwyn, Stanley Lawrence, Christopher J. Keene and Arsenio Hall. Ghost was Produced by Lisa Weinstein. Ghost is written by Bruce Joel Rubin and directed by Jerry Zucker. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Ghost was released on 13th July 1990 and takes a screen time of 127 minutes. Ghost was made on a budget of $22 million and at the box office it grossed only $9 million. Cinematography was done by Adam Greenberg and editing by Walter Murch. The music was composed by Maurice Jarre. At the 1991 Oscar Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Bruce Joel Rubin) and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen (Whoopi Goldberg).
