A college student from Mumbais Dharavi slums, Murad Ahmed, discovers solace and inspiration in rap music, using it to write lyrics reflecting the injustices he witnesses around him, leading to his rise as a successful rapper and the reconciliation of his relationships. Gully Boy is a 2019 Hindi-language Adventure Comedy movie starring Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Vijay Varma, Nakul Sahadev, Brian Nathan, Kalki Koechlin and Ikhlaq Khan. Gully Boy was Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar. Gully Boy is written by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar and it is directed by Zoya Akhtar. Gully Boy was released on 14th February 2019. The Film was successful at box office. Gully Boy was made on a budget of ₹84 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹134 crore. The music was composed by Ankur Tewari along with Divine, Dub Sharma, Jasleen Royal, Naezy and Raghu Dixit. At the 2020 Filmfare Awards It won 5 awards including: Best Editing, Best Dialogue, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design and Best Background Score.
