Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. 10,000 BC was released on 7th March 2008 and takes a screen time of 109 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. 10,000 BC was made on a budget of $105 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $269 million. Emmerich, the director of Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow, has been styling himself in the mold of master of disaster Irwin Allen for some time now, and with 10,000 B.C. he has finally superceded the retro cheese meta cool of his apparent stylistic mentor and created a boneheaded mock epic thats so bad it verges on but never achieves some sort of desultory mad genius.
