A Roman Tribune named Clavius investigates the disappearance of Jesus body and encounters witnesses who claim to have seen him alive, leading him to doubt their credibility, but ultimately decides to join Jesus and his apostles, helping them evade capture and witnessing Jesus ascension into Heaven. LD Entertainment in association with Affirm Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Mickey Liddell, Patrick Aiello and Pete Shilaimon. Risen is written by Kevin Reynolds and Paul Aiello and it is directed by Kevin Reynolds. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the film. Risen was released on 17th March 2016 and takes a screen time of 107 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Risen was made on a budget of $20 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $46 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Kevin Reynolds and Paul Aiello.
