Justine dreams of surreal images and faces chaos and pressure in her personal and professional life, eventually leading to her quitting her job, cheating on her fiancé, and calling off their wedding; as she spirals into depression, she learns of a rogue planet approaching Earth causing anxiety for her sister, and ultimately, they face their final moments together as the planet collides with Earth. Melancholia is a 2011 English-language Drama Fantasy motion picture featuring Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Alexander Skarsg Rd, Brady Corbet, Cameron Spurr, Charlotte Rampling and Stefan Cronwall. Melancholia was Produced by Meta Louise Foldager and Louise Vesth. The motion picture is written and directed by Lars Von Trier. Nordisk Film acquired the distribution rights for the film. Melancholia was released on 15th March 2012 and takes a screen time of 135 minutes. Melancholia was made on a budget of $52 million and at the box office it grossed only $17 million. Cinematography was done by Manuel Alberto Claro and editing by Molly Malene Stensgaard At the 2011 European Film Awards It won an award for European Cinematographer.
