A kids show host, Rainbow Randolph, is fired in disgrace while his replacement, Sheldon Mopes, aka Smoochy the Rhino, finds himself a rising star. Unfortunately for Sheldon, the business of kids television isn t all child s play. Death to Smoochy is a 2002 English-language Comedy Crime movie featuring Robin Williams, Edward Norton, Catherine Keener, Danny Devito, Jon Stewart, Pam Ferris and Marc Yarrish. Film4 Productions in association with Senator Film and Mad Chance Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Andrew Lazar and Peter Macgregor-scott. Death to Smoochy is written by Adam Resnick and directed by Danny Devito. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Death to Smoochy was released on 29th March 2002 and takes a screen time of 109 minutes. Death to Smoochy was made on a budget of $50 million and at the box office it grossed only $8 million. Cinematography was done by Anastas N. Michos and editing by Jon Poll. The music was composed by David Newman.
