A young boy, who is actually an artificial intelligence experiment, escapes from a government facility, develops exceptional abilities, forms a bond with his foster brother, gets recaptured, escapes again with the help of a scientist, and eventually reunites with his foster family. D.A.R.Y.L. is a 1985 English-language Family Sci-Fi movie starring Mary Beth Hurt, Michael Mckean, Kathryn Walker, Colleen Camp, Josef Sommer, Barret Oliver and Matt Butler. D.A.R.Y.L. was Produced by John Heyman, Burtt Harris and Gabrielle Kelly. D.A.R.Y.L. is written by David Ambrose, Allan Scott and Jeffrey Ellis and it is directed by Simon Wincer. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. D.A.R.Y.L. was released on 5th May 1986 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. D.A.R.Y.L. was made on a budget of $12 million and at the box office it grossed only $7 million. Cinematography was done by Frank Watts and editing by Adrian Carr. The music was composed by Marvin Hamlisch.
