Chaalbaaz was Produced by A. Poorna Chandra Rao. Chaalbaaz is written by Rajesh Mazumdar, Kamlesh Pandey and Pankaj Parashar and it is directed by Pankaj Parashar. Lakshmi Productions acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Chaalbaaz was released on 8th December 1989 and takes a screen time of 155 mins. Chaalbaaz was made on a budget of ₹75 lakh and at the box office it grossed only ₹32 lakh. Cinematography was done by Manmohan Singh and editing by Afaque Husain. The music was composed by Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar along with Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma and Laxmikant Pyarelal.
