Mahaan is a 1983 Bollywood film featuring Amitabh Bachchan in a triple role and follows the standard storyline of separated families being reunited through a series of coincidences, with elements of comedy and musical numbers. Mahaan is a 1983 Indian Hindi-language Action Comedy motion picture starring Amitabh Bachchan, Waheeda Rehman, Parveen Babi, Zeenat Aman, Ashok Kumar, Amjad Khan and J.n. Anand. The movie is based on Shankar Guru. Satya Chitra International was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Satyanarayana and A. Suryanarayana. Mahaan is written by Kader Khan and M. D. Sundar and it is directed by G. Ramanathan and S. Ramanathan. Shemaroo Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the film. Mahaan was released on 29th April 1983 and takes a screen time of 172 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of ₹4 crore. Cinematography was done by A. Vincent. The music was composed by Rahul Dev Burman along with R. D. Burman.
