Three friends invest in a resort and face paranormal disturbances, leading them to seek the help of a psychic who uncovers the ghosts true identity as a student who committed suicide due to leaked videos, ultimately bringing justice to the culprit through a confrontation with the ghost. Dreams N Beyond was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jayasurya and Ranjith Sankar. Pretham is written by Ranjith Sankar and Anand Madhusoodanan and it is directed by Ranjith Sankar. Fox Star Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. Pretham was released on 12th August 2016 and takes a screen time of 126 minutes. Pretham was made on a budget of ₹18 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹13 crore. Cinematography was done by Jithu Damodar and editing by V. Saajan. The music was composed by Anand Madhusoodanan.
