A wealthy man named Harry wants to transform a village into a fledgling economy by taking advantage of the villagers, with his daughter Bijlee falling in love with Matru who is fighting for the villagers cause, leading to a dramatic turn of events. Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama film featuring Pankaj Kapur, Imran Khan, Anushka Sharma, Shabana Azmi, Lekha Washington, Arya Babbar and Sunny Charles. VB Pictures in association with Fox Star Studios. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vishal Bhardwaj and Fox Star Studios. Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola is written by Vishal Bhardwaj and Abhishek Chaubey and it is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Fox Star Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film.
